Supercool Central Ltd (trading as Super Cool Central) was set up by two of the most experienced refrigeration and air conditioning engineers in the industry, with over 60 years of hands-on experience between them. Super Cool Central has set its prime objectives at providing a quality, cost effective, customer friendly service.

The company goes from strength to strength with an ever increasing portfolio of high quality clients. Including blue chip companies, government agencies, healthcare trusts, local authority departments, retail and wholesale chains. Pub groups and clubs, medium to large industrial companies, educational establishments, motor racing teams and, of course, our smaller retail and domestic clients.

All the engineers are fully qualified to carry out the installation, servicing and maintenance of a vast range of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.

Super Cool Central is committed to using the latest technology, along with the most energy efficient and environmentally friendly solution to client’s problems.

Super Cool Central is registered with the Carbon Trust as an Equipment Supplier. This allows us to apply to the Carbon Trust, on our customers behalf, for Interest Free Business Loans to replace inefficient equipment with more energy-efficient alternatives.

We can also assist businesses to apply for Enhanced Capital Allowances (ECAs). The ECA scheme provides small to medium sized businesses with 100% first year tax relief on qualifying capital expenditure. That is to say the scheme allows buisnesses to write off the whole cost of equipment against tax profits in the year of purchase.

In September 2008 Super Cool Central became the first company in Northampton to be granted "voluntary" registration with REFCOM. The Industries national register of companies competent to handle refrigerants. This voluntary membership scheme requires higher standards than those stipulated in the UK/EU F-Gas Regulations. The scheme was re-launched in July 2010 as REFCOM Elite, with a new schedule of on-site inspections and additional audits.

From 4th July 2009, it became a legal requirement for all buisnesses that install, maintain, or service stationary refrigeration, air-conditioning, or heat-pump (RAC) equipment that contains or is designed to conatin "F-Gas" refrigerants to hold a Company Certificate issued by a Government approved Company Certification Body. It is now an offence to carry out these activities without a Company Certificate. At present some companies are operating with an Interim Certificate. However, by 4th July 2011 all such businesses must upgrade to a Full Certificate. DEFRA named REFCOM as its first Company Certification Body and Supercool Central Ltd registered with REFCOM on 15th June 2009 and was granted Stationary Equipment Qualification Company Certificate (Full Certificate) No: REF1003711, on the 2nd November 2009.

FROM THE 4th JULY 2011 ANY COMPANY WISHING TO INSTALL, MAINTAIN, OR SERVICE REFRIGERATION OR AIR CONDITIONING IN THE UK MUST HOLD A FULL COMPANY CERTIFCATE ISSUED BY A UK GOVERNMENT RECOGNISED COMPANY CERTIFICATION BODY.

CRB Disclosures - To ensure clients have peace of mind and conform, where necessary, to local and national regulations, all Super Cool Central engineers hold current Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Disclosures.

This means that they have had their personal histories checked against the ISA (Independent Safeguarding Authority) Children & Vulnerable Adults List and have been found to pose no known threat to this group of people.

Copies of these disclosures are held at the company offices.

Additionally, all the engineers have been issued with a Photo ID Card stating this fact.
